The heart of the B10 V8 is, of course, its engine extended to 4.6 liters of displacement. After technical improvement on the part of Alpina, this delivers a whopping 347 hp and 480 Nm of torque. In the sprint to 100 km/h, the factory specification for this sedan was 5.5 seconds. Unlike the normal 5 Series, the Alpina had a Switchtronic transmission that could be shifted from the steering wheel, as you know it from modern cars.
