De Citroën Traction Avant 7C uit 1935 is een revolutionaire klassieker die zijn tijd ver vooruit was. Als een van de eerste productieauto’s met voorwielaandrijving, onafhankelijke wielophanging en een monocoque carrosserie, bood deze Citroën ongekende rijeigenschappen en stabiliteit. Dit specifieke exemplaar is in een periode van 8 jaar gerestaureerd, waarbij de authenticiteit is behouden. De 1628cc motor en cilinderkop zijn gereviseerd en de auto rijdt op Michelin 130/140 x 40 radiaalbanden, die uiterst zeldzaam zijn. De auto beschikt over een unieke gecombineerde oliedruk- en temperatuurmeter, een bijzonder detail dat haast nergens anders te vinden is. Daarnaast is hij voorzien van een Prelac verlichtingssysteem, een origineel Gemmer stuurhuis en een messing grille van Chausson, wat bijdraagt aan zijn historische waarde.

Het exterieur van deze Traction Avant is een lust voor het oog. De diep rode lak gecombineerd met zwarte spatborden en wielen zorgt voor een elegante uitstraling. Dit model heeft enkele zeldzame kenmerken, zoals koplampsteunen zonder stelgaten, een reservewieldeksel uit drie delen en bumpersteunen met slechts één bout in plaats van twee. De authentieke benzinetank met twee vuldoppen en het nummerbord met verlichting ("Plaque de Police") onderstrepen de originele details. Binnenin straalt het interieur pure klasse uit, met twee dashboardkastjes, een originele centrale instrumentatie en een speciaal vervaardigde binnenspiegel. Bovendien is het uitzetkompas voor het raam nog origineel, een detail dat zelden wordt teruggevonden. De hoogwaardige bekleding, geweven volgens de traditionele Franse methode, zorgt voor een perfect samenspel met het exterieur.

Extensively restored Citroën Traction Avant 7C
The 1935 Citroën Traction Avant 7C is a revolutionary classic that was far ahead of its time. As one of the first production cars with front-wheel drive, independent suspension and a monocoque body, this Citroën offered unprecedented driving characteristics and stability. This specific car has been restored over a period of 8 years, while maintaining its authenticity. The 1628cc engine and cylinder head have been overhauled and the car runs on Michelin 130/140 x 40 radial tires, which are extremely rare. The car has a unique combined oil pressure and temperature gauge, a special detail that is almost nowhere else to be found. In addition, it is equipped with a Prelac lighting system, an original Gemmer steering box and a brass grille from Chausson, which contributes to its historical value.

The exterior of this Traction Avant is a feast for the eyes. The deep red paint combined with black mudguards and wheels provides an elegant appearance. This model has some rare features, such as headlamp supports without adjustment holes, a three-piece spare wheel cover and bumper supports with only one bolt instead of two. The authentic petrol tank with two filler caps and the number plate with lighting ("Plaque de Police") underline the original details. Inside, the interior exudes pure class, with two dashboard compartments, an original central instrumentation and a specially made interior mirror. In addition, the expansion compass for the window is still original, a detail that is rarely found. The high-quality upholstery, woven according to the traditional French method, ensures a perfect match with the exterior.
