Descriere autovehicul
I am the original and only owner of this 2003 US spec Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII. This was a launch day Evo 8 delivered as one of the very first Evo's for sale in US in April 2003. I imported this car to the Netherlands when I moved and the car is registered with Netherlands license plate and passes annual inspection. The US spec Evo VIII is officially a GSR so it has no AYC and no ACD. Front-rear power is full time 50/50 split. It does have the strong 5 speed transmission. These are good things as especially the 6 speed transmission couldn't hold as much power and was more prone to failure. This car did have its transfer case replaced under warranty as the transfer case was the weak point of the original US spec Evo. Of course the steering wheel is on the left which is nice in Europe.
As you can see in photos the odometer is in miles at 95000 miles, but the speedometer has both mph and km/h marks -- I personally use a GPS speedometer when I drive. This car is in fantastic shape with very few mods and original interior. This car has never seen a track day!
Only mods are AMS stage 1 installed by AMS in Chicago:
- cone filter
- manual boost control
- AMS cat back exhaust
- dual plate racing clutch
- Defi boost gauge
- AMS custom tune on AWD dyno -- see the dyno graph running ~275 HP at the wheels which is approximately 350 HP at the crank up from the 279 HP stock spec.
- single DIN touchscreen stereo with built-in android (supports torque) with android auto and carplay. Bluetooth OBD2 adapter included.
- amplifier and removable subwoofer in trunk
- all side windows and rear window tinted -- front side window tint is legal in Texas where I bought the car and has not been a problem in Europe
I even have the old service records from the US.
In the last year I have installed new
- steering pump
- water pump
- dynamo
- drive belt
- oil pan
- brake disks (rear)
- brake pads (front and rear)
The body work on this car is also fantastic with no scratches, dents, or rust. The original carbon fiber wing is in great shape with no cloudiness. This car comes with a spare set of the stock Enkei aluminum 17 inch wheels so you can easily swap between summer and winter tires. I painted the wheels on the car in the photos black to match the car, the spare wheels are still the original silver.
This car is ready to be your massive Evo build-out or your reliable daily driver.
